The Brief
SickKids Foundation needed portraits for their annual “Give Better Gifts” campaign, a guide encouraging organizations to donate in place of traditional employee gifts. The portraits had to feel warm and sincere while carrying the polish of a national fundraising campaign.

The Approach
The subjects were real patients and their families, which meant the shoot needed to be handled with care. I built a set that felt comfortable and worked closely with each family to put them at ease. The goal was to capture genuine expressions without losing the clarity and cohesion the campaign required.

Lighting was kept soft and optimistic, giving the portraits an approachable look while still being campaign-ready. The images needed to connect on a personal level, but also fit together as part of a larger story.
The Result
The portraits highlight the strength and spirit of the SickKids community. They became the emotional center of the “Give Better Gifts” campaign, giving donors a clear, human connection to the cause.
